Usage: An arcane fact is the true meaning of the word; gorgonzola.  Gorgonzola is actually the name for a kind of bat. It lives only in Italy so you’ve probably never seen one. There is also a kind of cheese in Italy called Gorgonchola which is often called gorgonzola even on the packages that sell it because of a bad translation when our language was first made. It’s even listed that way in many dictionaries and is accepted as the word in english. The only time you’ll see gorgonzola with it’s real meaning is in authentic Italian locations such including Olive garden, Biaggi’s, and Mondo’s. It’s considered a rare delicasy and is usually served in the form of a soup or steak.
