Flying Saucer? or 6 Year Old Flying Fathers Hot Air Balloon?

A 6 year old boy in Fort Collins, Colorado took a blood-curling ride this afternoon (Thursday October 15, 2009) in his fathers home made hot air balloon.

The balloon measures 20 feet long by 5 feet tall and bears an odd resemblance to a stereotypical UFO.

When the Helium filled balloon touched down around 3:45 today after approximately 40 or more minutes of flight, there was no young cherib to be found.

Reports say the boys sibling saw him climb into the dirigible this morning. Whether the child jumped out (or fell out, as the door may not have been securely fastened), before or after taking air is yet to be concluded.

The Mylar coated balloon resembled a typical party balloon(obviously minus the funky designs and its enormous size, although it did have a string attached to it).

So, all that said, we currently do not know whether the boy fell out and is injured or worse, or whether he released the balloon and ran into hiding to avoid punishment from parents.

Furthermore, it could all be a hoax, a scam, to get the entire country or planet to tune into this occurance. Is it a joke or an attempt to con the world into believing this was extraterrestrial activity.

Either way, where the hell are these parents. If you readers ever decide to build your own aeronautical device, please be sure to chain it to the ground and have a secure padlock to anchor it.

Learn to watch your children people and use a little frickin common sense.

Hey, did anyone hear that Michael Jackson died? Wow, I haven’t heard anything about this.

Furthermore, some Kennedy guy also died and I’m supposed to act like I give a rats ass.  I know people who have given their lives at war or spent their lives working in a soup kitchen for no pay at all and did they get a huge funeral service? NNOOO!!!!

All I see on TV is Kennedy.  Who cares, when the millions of other souls get the recognition they deserve for doing the selfless acts that they have performed maybe I’ll clap a hand for Teddy.

Fuck all this bullshit and fuck all of you who shed a tear for these people.  An entertainer and a politian die and everyone’s got their panties scrunched up but when a soldier or mother or son dies, nobody knows about it.

New record for a cupcake.  8 times larger than the past record.  1,224lbs!!!!

The triple vanilla cupcake with pink frosting took 12 hours to bake and included 800 eggs and 200 pounds each of sugar and flour

The maker of the cupcake estimates the marvel at approximately 2 MILLION calories.

I really don’t know what to say, in times of economic crisis, we have people who are making cupcakes to break records.  Is this a waste of time or just good advertisement.  Also, pieces of it WERE sold in exchange for charitable donations.

I guess things like this are what our country was found on.  I hope they had Garelick or Hoods on staff to provide an ample supply of Milk.  Anyone suprised that our glutonous country is the fattest in the world????  Perhaps they should have tried breaking the record for largest bowl of oatmeal or tofu pie or white rice and seaweed salad.

Hannah Clark (16) just underwent a surgery to end a 16 year bout with various ailments, and not minor ones at that.

At 8 months old (1994) Hannah Clark was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy which is a condition were the heart doesn’t function properly.  A donor heart was used, but instead of exchanging the two, surgeons left her original heart in her chest to rest, a term known as Piggybacking.

As with any transplant, the body refusing an organ is always an issue so Hannah was put on potent drugs to assist in the adjustment.  These drugs however cause another little problem: CANCER. Ouch

So as her cancer battle is going on, she makes it 11 years and finds that her immuno-suppression drugs were no longer working. Hannah’s body was rejecting the donor heart.

February 2006 rolls around and a tough decision in made.  Surgeons decide to remove her donor heart and ideally her own heart should be in good enough shape to work.  This has never been done.  The family really had no choice though and the surgery was done (by the surgeon who did the original transplant who came out of retirement just for this young woman).

Three years later, Hannah has no need for any drugs and has been given a clean bill of health. The operation was a success!!!!!

A rather interesting story.

Recent studies show that up to 90 % of all United States paper currency contains at least a small amount of cocaine.

Scientists tested banknotes from more than 30 cities in five countries, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, China, and Japan, and found alarming evidence of cocaine usage.

The U.S. and Canada are in 1st place with an astonishing 85%-90% contanimation rate, while the Chinese and Japanese flopped in at a measly 12%-20%. Thats weak!

Scientists have known for years that paper money can become contaminated with cocaine during drug deals and directly through drug use, such as snorting cocaine through rolled bills. Contamination can also spread to banknotes not involved in the illicit drug culture, because bills are processed in banks’ currency-counting machines.

The amounts of cocaine found on U.S. bills ranged from .006 micrograms (several thousands of times smaller than a single grain of sand) to more than 1,240 micrograms of cocaine per banknote (about 50 grains of sand).

The scientists found that larger cities like Baltimore, Boston, and Detroit had among the highest average cocaine levels. Washington, D.C., ranked above the average, with 95 percent of the banknotes sampled contaminated with the drug. The lowest average cocaine levels in U.S. currency appeared on bills collected from Salt Lake City.

Now people, there’s no need to worry, the amount on these bills are generally so minuscule that there is absolutely no health risk involved, unless of course you just wedged a couple grams up you beak using said bills.

Also, anyone find it odd that the highest contamination location (possibly in the world), is D.C., home of the leaders of the free world.  Interesting.
